Baylor is indeed undefeated, by fortunate to have beaten Texas Tech last week, in overtime. Especially given that it was a home game for the Bears. Now they go on the road. They haven't been a great road team. They barely beat Rice (21-13) on the road. Last year their only road win was at UTSA. Now they travel to Oklahoma State, a team they only beat by four at home last season. So, a measure of motivation for the Cowboys if nothing else, who are off a bye, which also helps. Not counting a game with McNeese State, this is only Oklahoma State's second home game. Baylor's defensive stats look solid, but they have only played Texas Tech as far as opponents that have an offense. In fact, they're 66th in SOS while Oklahoma State is 36th. Here's the key - people think Cowboys and they assume air attack, but Oklahoma State is actually 14th in the nation in rush play percentage, so they'll play keep away and Baylor cannot score without the ball. They (Baylor) let Texas Tech, who doesn't run much, run for 148 yards last week, so that just goes to the fact that Baylor has inflated numbers based on who they(or haven't) played. Baylor's leading tackler, Clay Johnston, is now out for the season. Oklahoma State is favored for a very good reason - they're going to win.
