Man that just had to be a gloomy flight from St Louis last night for these Pirates. Obviously it's been yet another tough season and it appeared they were on the winning side against the Cards holding a 8-4 lead into the latter stages. Then, they imploded losing the game. It is almost as though they are just finding ways to lose. Cardinals long time announcer Mike Shannon, a former player himself, seemed to be barely holding back from letting loose on the Pirates. Ugly baseball was the bottom line. Now they venture out west to open a series against the Angels. While the Angels are also playing out the string they seemingly still do at least have a pulse, as the Red Sox would testify to. The fact is the Angels have won a stellar 24 of their last 32 interleague games at the Big A. Stepping in tonight against young Keller is not exactly a daunting task. Not crazy about the price tag but will take the Angels here at home for a triple.
