It's the time of year when we are going to start obviously having some serious, clutch series involving the races. Clearly a huge four game series gets underway Thursday night in Minnesota between the Twins and the Indians. The Twins have been perched atop the division most the season and will be trying to fend off the rampaging Indians. The Tribe have closed the gap to within a mere two games going into the opener. I will take the Indians and Mike Clevenger here to take this big opening battle. The fact is the Indians have now prevailed in the last four starts Clevenger has made for them. Now, most of you know I do not live and die by trends alone. Recipe for disaster. But you have to do your due diligence and one stark trend does jump off the page. Kyle Gibson, who I have liked ever since his days here in Columbia when he pitched for Mizzou, has something going on here worth a mention. The Twins have only won ONE game in Kyles last nine games at home he started against the Cleveland Indians. This should be an entertaining series but I do think the Indians are the right side here in the opener. I am going triple here with Clevenger and the Tribe.
