We cashed a nice triple last night with the Royals continuing to handle the White Sox. Got to hand it to Kansas City. They are not tanking and just going through the motions in the dog days of summer. Props. We also faded the Braves yesterday and cashed with the Brewers sending them back to Atlanta on a losing note. I am fading the Braves once again here. I generally just don't much like teams in their first game home after a road trip. And yes, going up against the likes of Strasburg does not hurt our cause as well. I do not tend to get too hung up on trends because as I have repeatedly stated trends do have a shelf life. But there are a few things that apply here in this game worth a mention. Number one is the stubborn fact the Nationals have won now in a solid eight of their last ten games on the road. That's recent and relevant. They have also won a crazy seventeen of their last twenty one when squaring off against divisional opponents. Braves might have some curb appeal here as a home dog but I am not buying it. I am going with Strasburg and the Nationals here.
One final note I have been kindly asked by the home office to pass along. The Early Bird football offers are up. These are without question the most popular packages offered by Pregame each year. I am very gratified to have many clients who have been with me for multiple seasons now. They know I am a straight shooter and always accessible to them with honest answers to their inquiries. They know the odds are they will enjoy a football season with plenty of action without going overboard. And they know some seasons we have literally kicked the books asses. Had one season just a few years back where between college and NFL we concluded up close to a hundred units. They also know I will not hide or make lame excuses if a season concludes slightly down. I keep things real. I booked for several years, several. I know how it is from the other side. I can smell traps a mile away. I will just add this one final thought fellas. If you are approached by some service making outlandish claims that seem too good to be true, they likely are. Run, don't walk away. There are a LOT of sites out there that prey upon naïve, newer sports bettors. To hear some of them they would lead you to believe you will have nothing but incredible weeks all football season long.
