I'm playing on Pittsburgh/San Diego UNDER the total. Entering Wednesday's action, these teams ranked 25th and 26th in the majors, in terms of runs scored. They don't help themselves with any free ones either. The Padres are dead last in terms of walks per game, the Pirates are 25th. The Pirates are also 28th in home runs. That said, I'm expecting another relatively low-scoring affair here. Williams goes for the Pirates and he's coming off a stellar outing vs. St. Louis. He limited the Cards to one run through seven complete innings. Williams is 2-0 with a 2.87 ERA in five road starts and he'll have some extra motivation for this one. Thats because he's from San Diego. Lauer has had some trouble on the road and he got roughed up at Colorado last time out. He'll be happy to be back at Petco, as he's been much better here at home; he's got a respectable 3.43 ERA here. Look for runs to be at a premium.
