Ben Burns is SO HOT with his 'premium' plays that his 10-2 RECORD with 'free' plays isn't getting much attention. Thats ok. Here's another winner, this one coming from today's Cards/Braves contest.
The Cards won big yesterday but the Braves should bounce back today. You may not have heard but Soroka is doing some special things. He's got an amazing 1.21 ERA on the season. Last time out, he became the first pitcher ever (since they started tracking earned runs in 1913) to allow one or less earned runs in eight of his first 10 starts. He's got a 0.69 ERA through two May starts. Wacha, on the other hand, has a poor 6.32 ERA in three starts, since returning from injury. The Braves are 7-3 the last 10 times that they attempted to avenge a loss where their opponent scored 12 or more runs. They hit Wacha hard (4 earned runs, 8 hits in five innings) the last time that they saw him and I like their chances here. Consider Atlanta.
