Analysis

1-star (535) Oklahoma City +1.5 over PORTLAND. 10:35pm ET. I think we're catching value off an outlier performance in Game 1 that saw Portland win 104-99. That outlier being Oklahoma City hitting only 5 of 33 (15.2%) from 3-point range. In 83 games this season, that was the Thunder's worst performance from beyond the arc in any game. Despite this woeful performance from beyond the arc, OKC still only lost by 5 to Portland and only came up short of expectation by 1.5 points (expectation being the +3.5 point spread). Tonight, I expect a bounce-back performance and note that since 2005 teams coming off a bad 3-point shooting night (20% or less) are 82-65-6 ATS (56%). Also note that it's not like Portland is a bad match-up for OKC as the Thunder won and covered all 4 regular season games this year by 6 ppg. The only thing preventing me from making a stronger recommendation is Paul George's shoulder being a concern.
