Interesting match up here and not one that most figured to be when the schedule was first posted. Funny how often that is the case. We have a stark contrast here. A proud veteran team that is historically a contender going up against a Buc's team that has caught most everyone by surprise. That is if they are being honest about it. The number here reflects the respect the Buc's have garnered in the early going. Respect earned I might add. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been loving life of late. The journeyman NFL QB has been on a roll. There has never, ever been any question about his intelligence. He is an Ivy leaguer who might be the closest thing to a mensa member under center in the league. What has always baffled me is for a guy with intelligence beyond any reasonable question I have watched him through the years make some of the most bone headed throws one can imagine. Not lately but we have a lot more than a small sample size over the years of such critical turnovers. I applaud him for the hot start, he has paid his dues and deserves every bit of the attention and spot light is he enjoying. Now he goes up against this wounded Steelers team in a prime time game. Now, make no mistake about it guys, the Steelers are dysfunctional. There is absolutely no real logical reason here to back them. Hot team at home against the strugging Steelers with internal issues. Of course I must add that over my decades of wagering NFL football often when these kind of games occur you can throw logic out the window. The Steelers are a proud team going on national TV and I expect them to show up here. Screw logic. Was there an ounce of logic in Buffalo going into Minnesota and smoking the Vikings? Was there any real logic in the Titans going into Jacksonville and knocking off the Jaguars who had just beaten the Patriots? And we are supposed to predict this stuff. I expect this game to be an entertaining one guys. BUT, I also expect to see whatever Tomlins team has under the hood here. And I expect some regression from Ryan Superman Fitzpatrick. Yes, I wish the Steelers secondary was playing better. But in the end the bottom line is I expect the cream to rise to the top here and big Ben to out duel Fitzpatrick. The Steelers will find a way to leave Tampa Monday night with a sorely needed win under their belts and leave a dose of reality to the Buc's. I am going Triple here on the Steelers to, for one night, restore some order.
