Philadelphia Phillies w/ Velasquez @ New York Mets w/ Degrom

They have set the bar very low for us tonight for Game Four of this NY Mets / Philadelphia Phillies series. The line opened at 7 runs, and it could very well go down to 6.5 by the time first pitch gets here. These two NL East Division rivals gave already played each other seven times in this current 2018 season. And those games have gone 1-6 O/U… with an average of only 5.5 combined runs per game. Philadelphia comes into tonight’s contest on a current 3-12 O/U record in their last 15 games. Dating back to the beginning of last season, the PHILLIES have gone 2-12-2 O/U in any GAME FOUR of a series. On the flip side, sharp OU bettors are already aware that the Mets have been the 2nd BEST home ‘UNDER’ tea, in all of Baseball. The only team with a higher percentage of home UNDERS this season has been the Baltimore Orioles. That includes 7-17-1 O/U in their last 25 home games, and 4-14-1 O/U at home versus right-handed pitchers. The pitching matchup appears to be in our favor. Righty Vince Velasquez of the Phillies has been a MUCH better on the ROAD this season (2.79 ERA) compared to his HOME starts (6.16 ERA!). For the Mets, we will be on their clear-cut BEST pitcher. That would be Jacob Degrom. This is a ‘THREE-FER’ for us. Number One, Degrom leads ALL of Baseball with his microscopic ERA of only 1.79. Number Two, he’s allowed only 7 home runs all season in 115.3 innings pitched. And Number Three, the Mets have given him NO run support on offense in his starts. Since May, the Mets have scored only 2.7 runs per game in Degrom’s 12 starts. Sealing the deal for us is the home plate Umpire. Working tonight’s Game Four will be DAN BELLINO. The exact OPPOSITE of the Umpire in our first game. Bellino’s current record of 1-12-3 O/U makes him the BEST ‘Under’ Umpire in the entire league (out of 75 guys). Average combined runs per game: only 6.4. Dating back to last season. Bellino’s last 51 games have gone 11-33-7 O/U!
