I loved this bet but had to wait to see how Thursday played out and it couldn't have been better. Both teams scored late and both teams used considerable amount of arms. But before we get to that, there's Godley and Lucshesi. Godley hasn't been pitching deep and of course that leaves several innings of the used Arizona pen.  He's also got a 1.60 WHIP this season which sucks. He's been steadily declining since the first week of the season and has a 5.89 ERA over the last 7 games. On top of that San Diego has seen a ton of him and although Godley beat them earlier this season, it was the first time that happened - they'd hit .293 off of him the last three years. Lucchesi doesn't pitch deep either, and although he is off two solid outings, neither lasted more than five innings and were against teams that don't see him. Arizona does, and hit him hard this season. When he misses, it's UP, as evidenced by the ten HR's he's allowed in only  58 innings this season. This is not the ballpark to be missing UP - it's one of the best hitters' parks in baseball. Arizona at least appears to have STARTED to hit, while their pitching CONTINUES to suck. San Diego may be in W/L regression mode - so in the end I see BOTH teams scoring here - perhaps another 6-3 type game like Thursday, but obviously seeing the real possibility of many more and much earlier.
