I've had a lot of success in the past picking my spots with the Chiefs. The record this season with my games involving them stands at 3-2 but my clients know how easily it could be 4-1 or even 5-0. That loss on the last play against the Redskins was borderline criminal. And the Eagles easily could have covered the number. But, none of that matters now as we are dialing into this game out in Oakland. I am just not at all convinced Carr is anywhere near where he needs to be health wise. This Raiders team which entered this season with such lofty expectations has been sputtering along like a beautiful Jaguar that is in dire need of a tune up. They are misfiring too much. That does not bode well going up against this Chiefs defense which can be among the best in the league. I am not putting too much stock in that loss last week to the Steelers. In fact we had the Steelers as one of our plays. Pittsburgh has owned Kansas City the past few years and the Chiefs can only hope they do not see them again in the post season. But I fully expect a focused and dialed in Chiefs team thursday night out in Oakland. All indications are Tyreek Hill will be good to go and of course that is key. Frankly guys I just cannot see this Raiders offense generating enough points here to justify a play. Quite the opposite. We are laying a very reasonable number with the decidedly better team, especially with a less than 100% Carr under center. One other thing for those of you that like trends to prop up our play, the Chiefs have covered the number in a stellar eleven of the last fourteen on the road against Oakland. The way I see this game unless the Chiefs have a miserable turnover night they will depart the bay area with a solid win.
Now, one final note with emphasis. We have seen some insane, sick endings. First in the Redskins and Chiefs game and then again just this past monday with that goofy conclusion between the Colts and Titans when Derrick Henry went in at the end. Those two instances make my case yet again, crazy shit can and DOES happen. It can be downright cruel. The gambling gods are some perverted, sick bastards. Please never bet any more than you should on any one game. I am not trying to be a kill joy or preacher. I am simply trying to help. LOT of season left. Stay the course.
