I'm playing the Over between the Red Sox & Yankees on Thursday night. Yesterday's 2-1 final was a rarity for the Red Sox. Boston has been an Over machine of late with the "high" cashing in eight of their last 10 games. I expect a return to the Over tonight. Boston sends Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound to take on the Yanks. The left-hander has averaged nearly four walks per start over his last six starts, along with eight walks allowed in his last 13 2/3 IP. He's also been smacked for five home runs in his last 20 innings of work. Boston and their opponents have combined for 12 runs in each of his last three starts. The Yankees are MLB's second highest scoring team, averaging 4.96 rpg, hitting the third most home runs and owning the 7th highest OPS. New York starting pitcher, C.C. Sabathia has been under the weather of late and he's looked sick on the mound. The veteran hurler has been shelled for 10 earned runs, 19 base runners, and five home runs in his last 10 2/3 IP. He's now allowed at least four earned runs in five of his last eight starts. The Over is on a 6-0 run in Boston's last six against left-handed starters. Meanwhile, the Yanks have cashed the Over in each of their last four against southpaws. They're also on a 4-0 Over run when Sabathia throws on six days rest.
