I won't normally lay the hook in preseason but feel it's warranted. First we have the home team off a loss with the visitor off a win. Next a superior QB rotation: Washington (Kirk Cousins, Colt McCoy, Nate Sudfeld) , NY Jets (Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith, Bryce Petty, C Hackenberg) as all 4 Jets QB will play with Hackenberg far from ready. The Jets are so void off back-up running backs that others auditioned for this game. The Redskins also have a fired-up HC because of sloppy play last week: Washington committed 14 penalties for 123 yards against the Falcons. This week in practice, coaches harped on players about the need to play with more discipline and focus. After a penalty during Wednesday’s practice, Coach Jay Gruden ripped into his players, telling them he would not accept that mediocre level of play.Lastly, I like when players remember that in LY's game the Jets D held the Skins to their lowest yardage total at home as NY finished with a 474-225 yard edge.
