I'm backing the SDG Padres on Monday night. I went against the Friars yesterday and we cashed with the Miami Marlins. That play was all about the incredible work at home by Marlins' starter Jose Fernandez, who held SDG scoreless over six innings of work. There's no Jose Fernandez for the home team at Miller Park and I believe the Padres will get back to their winning ways, which would be their 8th in 10 games. Tyson Ross will take the mound for the Padres. Ross has allowed just 13 earned runs and 50 base runners in his last eight starts, spanning 47 IP, for a 2.49 ERA & 1.06 WHIP. Ross has allowed just one home run in his last 100 innings of work, covering 17 starts, while striking out 100 batters. He'll face a Milwaukee offense that has scored just eight runs during their current five-game losing streak. The Brewers are also 1-8 in their last nine, scoring just 15 runs, while batting .200. Wily Peralta will make his second start since May 22 and he enters with a hefty 1.59 HR's per 9 IP ratio at home this season. Yangervis Solarte, Matt Kemp, and Derek Norris are all on fire at the plate for the Padres and I expect more success against Peralta. SDG will look to extend their run as chalk to 6-0, while handing the Brewers their 6th straight loss. I'm backing the Padres on Monday night, my Road Warrior. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
