Futures for the upcoming season are starting to come out now. A fair amount of action at the books that have them. I made a few of what I like a few days ago at Siverton (Bass Pro) as they installed a Circa Sports Book a few weeks ago. It's just a short drive for me and I like to browse there. I simply refuse to go downtown to that mad house and in most cases pay for parking.
Here's something I found out recently. I have Bet MGM. When I recently tried to log on I couldn't do it. My wife called them and found out that they couldn't let me as my driver's license expired, even though I renewed it. I have to go to one of the casinos with my new license to "re-sign up" and probably start the cash out. Too much hassle to go to a strip casino to get things done. Still, I'll have to think about it as BetMGM gives me another set of lines. Stations, where I have done my betting for over 20 years are a joke. For me, it will be South Point, Circa at Silverton, and BetMGM and Stations as a last resort.
Below are a few links, etc. of the futures, which many have already changed. One bet I made that I'm sure most of you will be scratching your heads on is Michael Penix for offensive rookie of the year. My thoughts go like this. Suppose he was drafted as the Falcons found out Cousins isn't ready for play as year, and possible won't be for some time. Now suppose, the Falcons, with one of the easiest schedules starting winning with him. Right now their O/U wins is 10.5 with Cousins. If Penix plays and performs, not an impossibility, and wins a playoff game (or two), there's a good chance of him winning the award. At 70 to 1, I feel it's worth a shot. I'm also on the Eagles this year in all catagories with Hurts winning the MVP at 35 to 1 and winning the SB at 18 to 1 which I consider a good to excellent wager. I have the same for bets for the Lions without the MVP. Nothing for me as yet for the AFC.
