Tulsa vs Bowling Green College Football Point Spreads 2013 Week 1

Conference USA meets the MAC tomorrow night when Tulsa squares off against Bowling Green at Perry Stadium in Ohio. Thursday's meeting between the Golden Hurricane and Falcons is scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm ET on ESPU. The latest College Football Point Spreads 2013 Week 1 from offshore bookmaker 5Dimes have Bowling Green listed as a -4.5 against the spread favorite. Tomorrow's game total is set at 49.5 points. Tulsa is drawing +165 moneyline odds ($100 wins $165) to defeat the Falcons.

Tulsa had another great campaign last year, finishing with an 11-3 record after a 31-17 Liberty Bowl win over Iowa State. The Golden Hurricane also won the Conference USA Championship, beating Central Florida 33-27 in the title game.

Tulsa is presently favored to retain its league title as seven starters return from last year's 34.7 point per game offense. The Golden Hurricane are led by quarterback Cody Green, who threw for 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and he is surrounded by a solid supporting cast.

Back for Tulsa are leading rushers Trey Watts and Ja'Terian Douglas as well as top receivers Keyarris Garrett and Jordan James. Watts and Douglas combined for 2044 rush yards and 10 rushing touchdowns a season ago while Garrett and James reeled in 108 catches for 1413 yards and 11 scores.

Tulsa's offense will have its work cut out for it tomorrow night, though. Bowling Green had its share of struggles on offense, averaging just 22.9 points per game, but it still tallied eight wins thanks to its stingy defense.

The Falcons fielded the MAC's best defensive unit last season, limiting their opposition to 16.8 points and 297 yards per game. It should be even more formidable with nine starters and 27 lettermen back this season.

Bowling Green's offense ought to progress as well with 10 starters, including quarterback Matt Schilz, leading rusher Anthon Samuel, and top receiver Chris Gallon, returning.

Bowling Green, which posted a 4-1 home record last season, last faced Tulsa in 2010 at H.A. Chapman Stadium. The Golden Hurricane, playing as a 17 point favorite, won that contest 33-20.

College Football Point Spreads 2013 Week 1 Betting Trend: Bowling Green is 4-3 straight up but 1-6 against the spread in its last seven games as a home favorite with a total between 47.5 and 51 points.

Tulsa vs Bowling Green College Football Point Spreads 2013 Week 1:

Tulsa Golden Hurricane +4.5 (-115), Over 49.5 (-110), +165 (Moneyline)

Bowling Green Falcons -4.5 (-105), Under 49.5 (-110), -190 (Moneyline)
