NFL Point Spreads Baltimore Ravens vs Miami Dolphins

NFL Week 5 continues today and we will see the Baltimore Ravens travel south to take on the Miami Dolphins. The game will be televised on CBS and has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern). Current Odds have Miami listed as 2.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 43.

Analysis: The Ravens are off to a 2-2 start, which is not the start the reigning super bowl champs were hoping for. They also weren't expecting the rough start that Flacco has had after making him the highest paid player in the league. Flacco has completed just 57.4% of his passes for 1091 yards so far, and after tossing a career worst 5 INT's last week he now has 7 INTs on the year, compared to 5 TD's. Ray Rice has been held in check this season, rushing for just 89 yards on 30 carries, while Torrey Smith continues to benefit from the departure of Anquan Boldin by amassing a career-high 166 yards and a touchdown in last week's loss to the Bills. The Ravens have allowed just 38 points in three games since Peyton Manning's seven-touchdown night.

Miami comes in off a 38-17 loss at New Orleans, which was their first loss of the year. Tannehill's night wasn't a bowl of cherries, as he constantly was harassed by the aggressive New Orleans Saints defense. The Dolphins would also like to see an improvement in the chemistry between Tannehill and wide receiver Mike Wallace, who is fourth on the team in receptions (15) and yards (176). Lamar Miller continues to be locked in a committee with Daniel Thomas despite rushing for 62 yards in consecutive weeks and a touchdown against the Saints. Miami ranks 10th in rushing defense, holding opponents to 98.5 yards per game. It limited the Saints to 68 yards on the ground, but Drew Brees more than made up for it with 413 yards passing and four touchdowns. Miami, which will have its bye next week, is vying for its first 4-1 start to a season since 2003.

Pick: Going to go with the Under here. Neither offense has been great and the defenses have struggled as well, but still i see both teams getting back on track on that side of the ball. Look for this one in the mid 30's at best.
