New York Knicks vs Charlotte Bobcats NBA Betting Odds

The New York Knicks will look to keep things rolling tonight when they battle the Charlotte Bobcats at the Time Warner Cable Arena in North Carolina. The two Eastern Conference rivals are scheduled to tip off at 7:00pm ET. Opening Tuesday NBA Betting Odds have the hosting Bobcats listed as a slight -1 against the spread favorite; the Over/Under is set at 188 points.

The Knicks are still seven games under .500, but they are starting to resemble the team many thought they would be when the season tipped off. New York registered its fifth straight win last night, knocking off the Suns 98-96 in overtime at Madison Square Garden.

Carmelo Anthony, again, carried the Knicks, finishing the night with 29 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists. Raymond Felton chipped in with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, but Andrea Bargnani and J.R. Smith, who each posted 10 points, were the only other New York players to score in double figures.

The Knicks team defense was strong, though, as they limited Phoenix to 35.5 percent from the field and 23.3 percent from beyond the arc. Last night's victory also marked the fifth straight game that New York held its opposition to 96 or fewer points.

Charlotte enters tonight's proceedings with a 15-23 record thanks to Saturday's 97-103 loss at Chicago. The Bobcats got big offensive performances from Al Jefferson, Kemba Walker, and Gerald Henderson as the trio combined for 79 of the team's 97 points; however, Charlotte got worked on defense and the boards.

The Bulls had seven players score in double figures and they also recorded a 46 to 34 advantage on the glass.

Unfortunately for the Bobcats, defensive lapses are becoming an all too familiar refrain. While Charlotte still ranks in the top five in points per game allowed (96.6), it has given up 103 or more points in seven of its last nine games.

Notable Trends: The Bobcats, who have lost six of their last eight games against the Knicks, are 1-5 both straight up and against the spread in their last six home games with a total between 185 and 190 points.

New York Knicks vs Charlotte Bobcats NBA Betting Odds:

New York Knicks +1 (-110), Over 188 (-110), -103 (Moneyline)

Charlotte Bobcats -1 (-110), Under 188 (-110), -117 (Moneyline)
