NBA Odds Brooklyn Nets vs Denver Nuggets

The reeling Denver Nuggets welcome the Brooklyn Nets to the Rocky Mountain State tonight for an inter-conference showdown at the Pepsi Center. Tip off in this evening’s clash between the Nuggets and Nets is set for 10:30pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on TNT. The latest NBA Odds have Brooklyn listed as a -1.5 against the spread road favorite and the Over/Under set at 202 points.

The Nuggets were sitting one game above the break even point after scoring a 110-100 home win over Milwaukee, but the wheels have since come off for Brain Shaw’s squad since their defeat of the Bucks.

Denver proceeded to lose its next five games, falling to New York, Detroit, Indiana, Minnesota, and Phoenix before running into Milwaukee again. The Bucks provided relief for the Nuggets last Thursday at the Bradley Center as Denver earned a 101-90 win.

Unfortunately for the Nuggets, the success was short lived. Denver lost 89-117 at Chicago and 109-95 to Sacramento over the weekend, and it dropped its third straight game on Tuesday night, losing 95-100 to the visiting Trail Blazers to fall to 25-31 overall and 14-14 at the Pepsi Center.

The Nets have been one of the more consistent teams in the league since the beginning of the New Year; however, they are 3-3 in their last six outings.

Brooklyn also enters tonight’s game off of one of its ugliest performances of the season. Portland victimized the Nets as well, crushing Brooklyn 124-80 at the Moda Center. The Trail Blazers shot 53.5 percent from the field while limiting the Nets to 39.5 percent shooting and they scored a 53-29 advantage on the glass.

Game/Series Notes: While Denver is going through a difficult time it should feel somewhat good about its chances tonight if point guard Ty Lawson is in the lineup (questionable with rib injury). The Nuggets are 6-2 in their last eight meetings with the Nets and they are 6-0 in their last six games opposite Brooklyn at the Pepsi Center.

Notable Trends: The Nets are 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread in their last five games playing as an away favorite of a road loss (Over was 5-0 in those same five games).

NBA Odds Brooklyn Nets vs Denver Nuggets:

Brooklyn Nets -1.5 (-110), Over 202 (-110), -121 (Moneyline)

Denver Nuggets +1.5 (-110), Under 202 (-110), +101 (Moneyline)
