With the playoffs getting underway this weekend and the 16 team field nearly set, the odds makers have experienced zero change of heart in regard to the Miami Heat. The defending champs are still a heavy favorite to win it all, drawing -180 odds ($180 wins $100) to repeat in the latest NBA Finals Odds 2013. Last year’s Western Conference winner, the Oklahoma City Thunder, remain a second choice at +500 odds ($100 wins $500) while the San Antonio Spurs, who are presently the two seed in the West, are third at +1000 odds. The New York Knicks are the biggest mover, jumping from +2500 odds in the last update all the way to +1500. New York, which has won 15 of its last 16 games, would appear to be the biggest Eastern Conference threat to LeBron James and company. The Los Angeles Lakers, who have yet to secure a postseason spot, saw their championship odds drop like a stone after Kobe Bryant's season ending injury. The Lakers, a +2200 play in late March, are now getting +12500 odds to win the 2013 NBA Finals.
