The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is in Fontana, California this weekend for the 17th running of the Auto Club 400. Today’s race, a 200 lap affair at the two mile Auto Club Speedway, has a scheduled start time of 3:00pm ET; it will be broadcast live on FOX. NASCAR Auto Club 400 Odds have Jimmie Johnson, a two time Auto Club 400 winner, and Kyle Busch, who took second at last year’s race, listed as +600 co-favorites to win this afternoon.
Pole sitter Denny Hamlin is drawing +700 odds ($100 wins $700) to win his first Auto Club 400 as is three-time Auto Club winner Matt Kenseth. Current points leader and last year’s Sprint Cup Champion, Brad Keselowski, is a +1000 moneyline selection.
Last season’s Auto Club 400 winner, Tony Stewart, is a +1200 play while Dale Earnhardt Jr., who placed third at Fontana in 2012, is getting +1500 odds. Danica Patrick is the least favored of the listed drivers, coming in at +30000 odds to win her first Sprint Cup race.
