Bowling Green and Buffalo will battle for the right to face Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship Game when they meet at UB Stadium on Friday afternoon. The Falcons and Bulls, who are presently tied for first in the MAC East standings, are scheduled to kick things off at 1:30pm ET on ESPNU. Buffalo had a rough start to its season, opening with back to back road games against Ohio State and Baylor, but it has been smooth sailing for the team since.

The Bulls did suffer a 41-51 road loss at Toledo on November 12th, but they won seven straight before facing the Rockets. Buffalo also recovered nicely from the Toledo game as it scored a 44-7 win at Miami, OH last Tuesday.

The concern with the Bulls, though, is their inability to deal with good teams. Buffalo has exactly one win against a winning team and that came at home against a 6-5 Ohio squad that is 2-3 on the road this season.

Bowling Green and its formidable defense is, arguably, the Bulls biggest challenge since squaring off against Art Briles' Bears on September 7th.

Like Buffalo, Bowling Green has feasted on low level competition, especially of late, outscoring Miami (OH), Ohio, and Eastern Michigan 152-10.

The Falcons are 3-2 on the road this season with an ugly 42-10 loss at Indiana and a 21-20 setback opposite the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Series Notes and Trends: The Falcons are 7-1 in their last eight meetings with Buffalo and they have covered the number in four of their last five games against the Bulls. Bowling Green is also 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread in its last five games as a road favorite with a total between 47.5 and 51 points.
