The No. 19 Michigan Wolverines will look to rebound from their loss last week with the visiting Air Force Falcons in town. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 pm start time and it will be televised on ABC. The odds for the game have the Wolverines favored by 21 points.

It's been quite a while since these two clubs got together — 1964 was the last time. Michigan was embarrassed on national television last week by Alabama, 41-14. This is a major advantage for Air Force. The Falcons, 1-0, beat up on Idaho State 49-21 last week. They are a physical team and Michigan was beat up by a physical team last week. The last thing they really want to do is tackle Air Force on so many plays, but it's going to happen here today. AIr Force rolled up 484 yards on the ground last week.

The Wolverines have won 15 of their last 18 home openers, but have gone just 6-10 against the number in those games. Yet, in the last three years they've had an average win of 40-17 over non-conference opponents. Head coach Brady Hoke went 1-1 against Air Force the last two years when he was the coach at San Diego State. That might have some pull here today.

Michigan has obvious advantages and one of those is a 14-6 edge in returning starters. The Wolverines were out-gained last week on the ground 232-69 but they do get Fitzgerald Toussaint back. That should probably make some difference today as the Wolverines will have their main offense back, led by Denard Robinson, who obviously has to get better as a quarterback.

Free Pick: We're big Michigan homers, but we think Air Force is the right play here today. Michigan obviously is going to have some confidence issues based on last week's performance and with a service academy coming in, Michigan is going to have their hands full. Air Force is a team that loves to run the ball, eat clock and play hard. We think they can cover the number, although Michigan does have way too much talent to lose. The Wolverines will win comfortably, but we don't think they cover the 21.
