Thursday night college basketball and we will see the Arizona Wildcats travel to the Coors Events Center to take on the Colorado Buffaloes. The game has a start time of 9:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Current Vegas betting odds have the Arizona listed as 10.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 131.5. 

Analysis:  The Arizona Wildcats come in having won 4 in a row, including a hard fought 57-47 home win over UCLA on Saturday. The Wildcats are now 24-3 overall, while holding a 1 game lead over Utah in the race for the top spot in the Pac-12. Arizona has gone 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. the Pac-12 and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game. The Wildcats have been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 27th in scoring (75.6 ppg), 7th in shooting (49.0%), 127th in 3 point shooting (35.3%) and 190th in FT shooting (68.7%). Defensively the Wildcats have been very good this year, ranking 18th in points allowed (58.7 ppg), 43rd in defensive FG% (39.7%) and 104th in 3 point defense (32.6%).

The Colorado Buffaloes are struggling right now as they have lost 2 in a row and 5 of their last 6. The slide now has them at under .500 for the year with a 12-14 record overall, while in the Pac-12 they have gone just 5-9. Colorado has gone 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs the Pac-12. The Buffaloes have been a rather average offensive team this year, ranking 189th in scoring (66.7 ppg), 239th in shooting (42.4%), 133rd in 3 point shooting (35.1%) and 104th in FT shooting (70.4%). The defense for this team has been decent, as they come in ranked 142nd in points allowed (65.3 ppg), 92nd in defensive FG% (41.0%) and 189th in 3 point defense (34.3%).

Pick: Yes I will be going under the total here. If the cats can play a game vs high scoring UCLA and see just 104 points scored in the game then this one vs  slower paced Colorado team should be low scoring as well. Colorado has had all sorts of scoring issues of late as hey have averaged just 58.3 ppg in their last 6 games and i wouldn't expect that to improve vs this tough Arizona defense that has allowed just 55.8 ppg in their last 8 games. Arizona has been a solid offensive team away from home, but the Buffs have allowed just 61.1 ppg on their home floor this year. This one has 125 or less written all over it.
