ACC Basketball Miami Hurricanes vs Florida State Seminoles Odds, Free Pick

Sunday college basketball and we will see the Miami Hurricanes travel to Donald L. Tucker Civic Center to take on the Florida State Seminoles. The game has a start time of 12:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN U. Current Vegas betting odds have Miami listed as 2 point favorites, while the total is set at 135.

Analysis:  The Miami Hurricanes have pulled big road wins this year at Syracuse and Duke, but they come in off a really bad 20 point home loss to Georgia Tech. The loss now drops Miami to 14-6 overall and 4-3 in the ACC. The Hurricanes have gone 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games. Miami has been a decent offensive team this year, ranking, ranking 129th in scoring (69.4 ppg), 142nd in shooting (44.1%), 89th in 3 point shooting (36.4%) and 78th in FT shooting (72.0%). Defensively the Hurricanes have been solid, ranking 98th in points allowed (63.1 ppg), 149th in defensive FG% (42.1%) and 123rd in 3 point defense (32.6%).

The Florida state Seminoles have struggled of late as they have won just 2 of their last 6 games, but they do come in off an 82-76 OT win over Wake Forest. The Noles have now gone 11-10 overall and 9-3 at home, but just 3-4 in the ACC. Florida State has gone 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games, but just 9-19-1 ATS in their last 29 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 2-7-2 ATS in their last 11 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The Seminoles have been a decent offensive squad this year, ranking 127th in scoring (69.6 ppg), 59th in shooting (46.4%), 337th in 3 point shooting (27.9%) and 243rd in FT shooting (66.9%). The defense for this team has not been all that good, ranking 251st in points allowed (69.1 ppg), 131st in defensive FG% (41.6%) and 142nd in 3 point defense (33.0%).

Pick: I will look to the under in this game. Miami comes in struggling on offense as they have scored just 60.3 ppg in their last 5 games, while the Noles have scored just 63.7 ppg in their last 6 games (Regulation Only). Both offenses are struggling right now and while the defenses for both teams are not great, the should make enough stops to keep this one from going over the total. I don't see either team putting up 67 points in this one.
