Pro Football Betting Odds Minnesota Viking vs Chicago Bears Free Pick

Week 11 NFL and the Minnesota Vikings will travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have Chicago listed as 2.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 46

Analysis:  The Minnesota Vikings have won two games in a row to move their record to 4-5 on the year and out of the basement in the NFC North. Minnesota is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 vs. NFC, but also just 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games off a bye week and just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win. The Vikings are not a good offensive squad, ranking 27th in total yards, 29th in passing, 10th in rushing and 26th in scoring (18.7 ppg). The defense has been rather decent, ranking 9th in total yards, 3rd vs the pass, 16th vs the run and 14th in points allowed (22.1 ppg).

The Chicago Bears are having a tough year as they come in in last place in the NFC North with a 3-6 record. The Bears have allowed 50+ points in each of their last 2 games and they are still looking for their first home win of the year. The Bears are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 meetings and 5-1 ATS the last 6 at home in the series, but are also 6-20 ATS in their last 26 vs. NFC. The offense for the Bears is not as good as expected, as they come in ranked 15th in total yards 12th in passing, 25th in rushing and 22nd in scoring (21.6 ppg). The defense has been bad for this team, ranking 26th in total yards allowed, 28th vs the pass, 15th vs the run and 32nd in points allowed (30.8 ppg).

Pick: I have to feel that the Bears will step up in this game and finally win a home game. The Bears have an abundance of offensive talent and I see them finally showing it here. The Bears are off a couple of embarrassing losses and at some point pride has to take over. The home team is 9-3 ATS the last 12 in the series, while the Vikings are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 trips to Chicago. Bears finally break through at home.
