That may be understandable as we have seen that the Cavs are a much improved team, but then only winning by 7 over Memphis at home and barely beating Texas without their starting QB is a bit puzzling. The Bruins have been an average offensive squad this year as they are 53rd in the nation in total offense (447 ypg) and 77th in points scored (30 ppg). Brett Hundley is off to a solid start, hitting 70.4% off his passes for 686 yards, with 3 TDs and 1 INT. Certainly not Heisman consideration numbers, but solid nonetheless. The defense for the Bruins has been average as well, as they come in ranked 74th in yards allowed (392.3 ypg) and 61st in points allowed (24 ppg). The Bruins are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games vs Arizona State.
The Arizona State Sun Devils also come in at 3-0 on the year, with wins over Weber State, New Mexico and Colorado so far. The Sun Devils are just 1-2 ATS in those games. Pick: I will be looking at the Bruins in this game. Despite their sluggish start to the year, I still feel they are the better team here, especially with ASU QB Taylor Kelly out for this one. I just don't see the Sun Devils putting up enough points to keep this one Close. I also rate the Bruins defense better than that of the Sun Devils, plus UCLA is 8-3 ATS the last 11 in the series. Look for the Bruins to win this one by at least 7 points.
