Major League Baseball Odds — Baltimore Orioles vs Cleveland Indians

Baltimore Orioles 2013: Adam Jones and Chris Davis Are Men Possessed

The Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Indians continue their series tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start time and it will be televised on MLB.tv and locally in both markets. Currently the Major League Baseball Odds for the game have Baltimore favored in this game.

Neither Baltimore nor Cleveland is out to the start they wanted to this point in the season. But both have pretty solid clubs and know the season is certainly a long one. Cleveland is coming off a sweep of the American League Central leading Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field and picked up the win in Game 1 of this series, 8-7 on Thursday night. They beat Detroit in 13 innings Wednesday, then turned around and took 13 innings to win on Thursday night. This was the first time since 1935 that Cleveland won successive games of at least 13 innings.

The Indians will send relief man T.J. House to the hill tonight as their pitching has taken on some bruising efforts the past week. This will be the first Major League start for House, who can help pitch the Indians to a season-high fifth straight victory here tonight. House had a record of 1-2 with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts for Triple-A Columbus.

Baltimore is still trying to figure out their footing as well, having lost five straight games inside Camden Yards. Baltimore lost seven in a row at home last season as well. But what makes this recent streak even crazier is that Baltimore has won only once in the last four games despite scoring 30 runs.

Bud Norris will get the ball tonight for the Orioles. He's 2-4 with a 3.58 ERA on the season, but he's lost his last two starts overall. He'll have to keep the Indians lineup, led recently by Michael Brantley, in check tonight. Brantley is stroking an average of  .361 with 18 RBI in his last 20 games overall and in his playing history has hit .333 with 10 RBI in 13 career contests at Camden Yards.

Current Indians hit just .217 against Norris, who has a 15-13 record in home games while being 10-27 on the road in the past few seasons.

Tonight we like the Orioles against the young pitcher House. Baltimore has been scoring runs but can't find a way to win. Tonight we think they'll end Cleveland's recent streak and stop their own skid.
