WWE Extreme Rules Start Time, Odds, Free Picks

Extreme Rules is the WWE's hardcore event of the year and it takes place Sunday May 4th, with a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern). Extreme Rules will take place at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey and will be televised on the WWE Network. Odds along with previews for the event are listed below.

WeeLC Match-- El Torito  (1/4)  vs  Hornswaggle  (5/2)

This is the Pre-show and it should be a fun one. When El Torito came to WWE as the Mascot of Los Matadores, it was only fitting that someday he and Hornswaggle hooked up to face each other. Well Hornswaggle has now turned heel and has become a part of 3 MB, to make them now 3.5 MB. By becoming a heel, Hornswaggle is now ready to take on El Torito in the littlest big match in the history of the WWE. I really can't see Hornswaggle taking this one. He has aligned himself with a team that is not used to winning and I just don't see that changing here. The two have split their first two matches vs each other and I feel that El Torito will take the rubber match. PREDICTION-- El Torito

Intercontinental Championship-- Big E Langston  (3/1) vs  Wade Barrett  (1/5)

Wade Barrett was entered in a 3 week tournament to determine the #1 contender to face Big E here at Extreme Rules. Well Barrett took the tournament when he pinned RVD to gain a shot at the Intercontinental Title. Wade, who is also known as "Bad News Barrett" is a 3-time IC champion, but until recently he has been seen giving Bad News to the masses on a podium. Now he steps in with a beast of a man in Big E Langston, who has defended the title successfully vs the likes of Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow and Jack Swagger. Still I have a feeling his title run is at an end. The WWE Universe seems to have grown bored with him and maybe it's time for a change. Bad News Barrett just may be the change that is needed. PREDICTION--- Bad News Barrett

Divas Championship-- Paige  (1/16)  vs Tamina  (13/2)

Wow Paige really came out of nowhere, unless you have been keeping up with NXT. During an episode of Raw a few weeks ago, Paige came out to congratulate AJ for retaing her title at Wrestlemania. Well before Paige knew it she was involved in a match for teh Divas Championship and shockingly she won it. Not only was it nice that Paige won the title, but it was also a change for the WWE, as very rarely to belts change hands at non-PPV events. Something I would like to see more of. Paige will be taking on Tamina Snuka, who was the bodygaurd of the former champ AJ and has been in the WWE since 2010, still looking for that elusive Title. Will this be it? I don't think so just yet. Paige should stick around as the champ for a while longer, but this will still be a heck of a match. PREDICTION-- Paige

Handicap Match-- Rusev  (1/25) vs  R-Truth & Xavier Woods  (15/2)

Gotta feel that this is just a match to build up Rusev. Kind of like the way they started out with Ryback. Rusev is known as the Bulgarian Brute and so far has just demolished everyone one he has faced. Still when ever a wrestler wins a 1 on two match, it makes them look all the better and im sure that is the plan here for Rusev. He is an intimidating figure and like Pagie above, he is from the NXT. His first appearance in the WWE was at the royal rumble and he did fin by eliminating a few opponents and just haven't stopped since. R-truth and Xavier Woods are decent competitors, but not nearly in the class of Rusev. Look for the Bulgarian Brute to win, this one rather easily. PREDICTION-- Rusev

Triple Threat Match--  Rob Van Dam  (6/1)  vs  Jack Swagger (9/2)  vs  Cesaro  (1/6)

This one will be an interesting match and it has a few story lines to go along with it. First we have Cesaro vs Swagger as both were members of the same team under the guidance of Zeb Colter. Well the two had a falling out and now Cesaro has aligned himself with the biggest mouth in the WWE, Paul Heyman. Cesaro is known as the "King Of Swing" and has really been a fan favorite of late, especially when he puts his opponent in the swing. Now Cesaro and swagger have a big fued and added to the Mix is RVD, who has ties with Heyman in his past, plus Van Dam also turned down an invite to join Zeb and Swagger as a part of the Real Americans. It is fitting that RVD be added as part of this match at extreme rules, cause he has been known in the past as Mr. Extreme. The way that the WWE has been building up Cesaro of late, I do expect him to win this one, in what should be a very exciting match. PREDICTION-- Cesaro

6-Man Tag Match--  Evolution  (4/7)  vs The Shield  (5/4)

All I can say is hold on tight and enjoy the ride. This one should be a fun one. Evolution is back as Orton, Batista and HHH have been re-united. Back in the Attitude ERA, Evolution was known as one of the most destructive trio the WWE has even known. They laid waste to everyone on this past at that time. Since then Batista had left the WWE and HHH had spent allot of time in behind a desk, but that is over, for at least now as they will take on one of the new destructive forces in the WWE, known as the Shield. The Shield started off as a heel group, but their popularity started to grow and I feel that the it shelved the Idea that the WWE had in splitting them up. They are now a fan favorite and at least for now will remain together as a team. One wildcard for this match seems to be Ric Flair, who came out on Raw and give an endorsement to the Shield. Was it a ploy to throw the Shield off, or will Flair get involved in this match on the side of the Shield. No matter what this should be one of the most exciting matches of the night, with the Shield coming out on top. PREDICTION-- The Shield

Steel Cage Match--  John Cena  (11/4)  Bray Wyatt  (2/9)

This one should be a great match. Since Bray and his brothers have joined the WWE they have brought nothing but destruction with them. These two met at Wrestlemania and that match was one by John Cena. The whole inside story to that match was that Bray was looking to show the WWE Universe that John Cena was really a monster, but Cena didn't play along and fought his inner demons to take the match. Now Bray has been spouting even more garbage off about Cena and the troubling thing is that the WWE Universe is starting to listening to Bray. The other night on Raw, the WWE Universe had a chance to choose an easier match for Cena, but instead they chose to put him in a 1 on 3 handicap match vs Bray and his brethren. Cena believe that Bray is starting to make the WWE believe his lies and is now fighting to make sure the Lies stay in the cage at the end of the night, rather than being released even more to the WWE Universe. Can he do it? Im not sure. I know this is Cena and he is the Golden Boy of the WWE, but I think the WWE would like some more time to play with this story line and that has me looking at Bray to win this one, which would set up the rubber match at the next PPV.  PREDICTION-- Bray Wyatt

WWE World Heavyweight Title Match--  Daniel Bryan  (1/25)  vs  Kane  (17/2)

True David vs Goliath here as half-pint title holder Daniel Bryan will take on the Devils favorite son, Kane. Stephanie McMahon has set Kane loose on DB and a couple of weeks ago Kane came out and totally demolished DB. Stephanie looked shocked and pleaded for Kane to stop. Really it was just a ploy as the more unstoppable and uncontrollable Kane looks, that will just make DB look even better in victory. This should be a good match, but not one of the better ones of the night and IMO, really one of the more disappointing title matches that the WWE has come up with. I will go with DB though as he has just begun his title reign and won't los it so quickly.
