Major League Baseball St. Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Milwaukee Brewers will take on the St. Louis Cardinals tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for an 8:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on MLB.tv and locally in both markets. The odds for the game tonight have Milwaukee favored to get a win.

Milwaukee started out as the hottest team in the league, winners of 10 of their opening 13 games on the season. They were the first team in Major League Baseball to get to the 10-win plateau and already have a 2-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central. That lead doesn't mean a whole lot, unless they can piece together wins against the Cardinals in head-to-head matchups.

The Brewers had won nine games in a row and the 10th game in that span was a 4-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals last night. Lance Lynn spun a wonderful game for the Red Birds, improving his record to 3-0 on the season. Milwaukee has just three losses on the season, but two have come with Matt Garza on the mound. During the massive run by Milwaukee the Brewers were scoring nearly six runs per game. It came to a stop by not getting a single player to cross the plate against St. Louis on Monday. The Brewers had just three hits in that game and will look to get back into their hitting ways tonight.

Dating back the past few seasons, St. Louis has really gotten the best of the Brewers. The Cardinals have on 30 of the last 42 games against Milwaukee, including taking nine of the last 11 inside Miller Park.

Getting the ball for the Cardinals tonight will be Shelby Miller, who has an ERA of 6.35 on the season and is 0-2. Miller got more than five runs on average in those two games but still couldn't get it done. Yet, last year against the Brewers he was 3-0 with an ERA of 2.03 in those appearances. Milwaukee third baseman Aramis Ramirez has clubbed a home run and has five hits in 10 plate appearances against Miller. He's also loving St. Louis pitching, hitting a .358 average against them in his last five games.

Marco Estrada gets the rock for the Brewers. He's 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA, but is 0-3 with a 5.67 ERA in seven starts during his career against St. Louis.

Cardinal catcher Yadier Molina is 10 for 20 in his last five games overall and dominates Estrada with a .571 average against him.
