The Denver Nuggets will attempt to snap out of their pre All Star Game funk tonight when they host the Phoenix Suns at the Pepsi Center. This evening's clash between Denver and Phoenix is scheduled to get underway at 9:00pm ET. Today's opening NBA Betting Odds are favoring the Suns at -2 against the spread and -130 on the money line ($130 wins $100). The Over/Under in tonight's contest is set at 213 points.

The Suns, who were one of the league's biggest first half surprises, closed out January on a 4-0 run as they secured road wins over Cleveland, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and Indiana and they opened February with a 105-95 home win against Charlotte. However, Phoenix limped its way into All Star Weekend.

The Suns are 1-3 in their last four games, falling to the Bulls, Rockets, and Heat to bring their overall record to 30-21.

Nevertheless, Phoenix' dip was mild compared to Denver's pre All Star slide. The Nuggets played four straight road games in the lead up to last weekend's festivities and they did not win a single one. And not only did Denver lose those four games, they did so in horrible fashion, falling to the Knicks, Pistons, Pacers, and Timberwolves by an average of 27.5 points per game.

Prior to their disastrous road swing, the Nuggets put together a 2-2 home stand with losses to the Bobcats and Raptors and wins over the Clippers and Bucks.

To make matters worse for Denver, which may be without point guard Ty Lawson for a third consecutive game (rib), it has experienced all kinds of trouble with the Suns of late. The Nuggets are 0-3 against Phoenix this season, suffering 103-114, 99-103, and 103-117 losses to their conference rival.

Notable Trends: The Over is 6-0-1 in the Suns last seven games playing as a favorite off a loss (Phoenix was 5-2 straight up and 4-3 against the spread in those same seven games).
