Louisville vs Kentucky NCAA College Football Odds

The annual meeting between Louisville and Kentucky takes place this Saturday as the Cardinals and Wildcats hook up at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington. This weekend's battle for the Govenor's Cup is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET on ESPN. NCAA College Football Odds have the visiting Cardinals listed as a -14 against the spread favorite while the hosting Wildcats are drawing +415 on the money line ($100 wins $15). The Over/Under is this in-state showdown is presently set at 60.5 points.

Louisville garnered a lot of preseason attention after finishing 11-2 last season and defeating a heavily favored Florida team 33-23 in the Sugar Bowl. Through two games the seventh ranked Cardinals have proven worthy of the accolades.

Louisville blasted a quality Ohio team 49-7 in its opener and it took out FCS school Eastern Kentucky 44-7 last weekend. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy, was outstanding in both outings, completing 46-of-60 passes for 752 yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception.

The Cardinals defense was no less brilliant, allowing a combined 25 first downs and 479 yards in the two lopsided affairs.

Kentucky, a 2-10 team last year, opened the Mark Stoops era with a 26-35 loss to Western Kentucky, but it rebounded last weekend by thumping a weak Miami, OH squad 41-7 in Lexington.

The Wildcats turned up the defensive pressure against the Redhawks, limiting Don Treadwell's team to eight first downs and 122 total yards in 30:45 time of possession. Miami averaged just 1.6 yards per pass and 2.3 yards per carry for the game.

Kentucky won four straight in this series between 2007 and 2010, knocking off the Cardinals by an average of 10.5 points per game, but Louisville has won the last two in decisive fashion.

The Cardinals scored a 24-17 win in 2011 and they dominated the Wildcats last year in a 32-14 route. Bridgewater did not throw a touchdown pass in the win, but he completed 19-of-21 passes for 232 yards while the Louisville rushing attack piled up 219 yards on 46 carries.

Louisville vs Kentucky NCAA College Football Odds:

Louisville Cardinals -14 (-110), Over 60.5 (-110), -525 (Moneyline)

Kentucky Wildcats +14 (-110), Under 60.5 (-110), +415 (Moneyline)
