Atlanta     +108

Over/ Under: 7.5 O -115

Analysis: The St. Louis Cardinals haven't been swept on the road all season and haven't been swept in Atlanta in more than 10 years. The NL's best offense hasn't gotten untracked this weekend, but could enjoy a favorable matchup against the Atlanta Braves' struggling Kris Medlen in tonight's series finale. St. Louis (62-39) leads the league with 496 runs but has scored one through the first two games of this set. The Cardinals' six hits over consecutive games are their lowest total for an offense batting an NL-best .275. Yadier Molina, Allen Craig and Matt Carpenter – all ranked in the top five in the NL in batting – are a combined 2-for-21 in the series. Shelby Miller posted a 4.31 ERA in June, but is 2-0 with a 2.65 ERA in three July starts with 17 strikeouts in 17 innings. The right-hander whiffed six hitters in six innings to beat Philadelphia on Tuesday, allowing no runs on three hits. He has struggled on the road, going 4-4 with a 4.07 ERA as opposed to a 6-2 mark with a 1.74 ERA at home.

Atlanta is in position for its first three-game home sweep of St. Louis since April 22-24, 2003, but the Braves' offense has actually produced fewer extra-base hits in this series. The Cardinals have five and Atlanta four. One of those hits for the Braves was Simmons' two-run double in the eighth inning Saturday. Chris Johnson is 4 for 6 in this series for Atlanta. Chris Johnson recorded two hits Saturday, his 31st multi-hit game of the year, raising his average to .332. Kris Medlen is the only member of the Atlanta rotation to start a postseason content, but the 27-year-old has struggled in his last three starts, going 0-3 with an 8.59 ERA. He won three in a row before dropping outings to the Phillies, Cincinnati and New York Mets, failing to last more than 5 1/3 innings in each start. The right-hander allowed four runs on seven hits in losing at New York on Tuesday.

Pick: I like the Over in this one. I look for a bit of a regression from Shelby Miller in the second half of the year and the Atlanta Braves should tag him for a few tonight. The St Louis offense has struggled in the first 2 games, but they can breakout tonight vs Medlen, who has just been awful of late. Both teams should be good for at least 4 runs each tonight.
