The Houston Rockets will take to the road for the first time since March 9^th when they battle the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEX Forum later tonight. Start time in this evening’s dust up between the Rockets and Grizzlies is set for 8:00pm ET. Memphis is listed as a -5.5 against the spread home favorite in the latest NBA Odds and the game total is set at 197 points.

Houston entered its Wednesday night showdown with the Pacers on a 5-1 run, but that did not keep Indiana from working its defensive magic at the Toyota Center. The Pacers left Houston with a 100-91 ad they held the normally potent Rockets offense to 38.6 percent from the field and 6-of-21 from beyond the arc.

The loss, which served as Houston’s 11^th in 36 home games, did not shake up the Western Conference standings too much, but it did leave the Rockets slightly vulnerable. Houston sits seventh right now with a 39-32 record, but its lead over the eighth place Lakers is 2.5 games and it is 3.5 games ahead of the ninth place Jazz.

Memphis has already locked up a playoff appearance; however, at 47-24, it is still in play for the three and four seeds. The Grizzlies, who currently hold the fifth spot (game behind the Nuggets and 1.5 games behind the Clippers), have not helped their cause of late, though.

Memphis has dropped two in a row and three of its last four games, losing to the Hornets, Wizards, and Knicks by an average of nine points per contest. All three of those setbacks took place on the road.

The Grizzlies have been lights out at home where they are 10-0 in their last 10 games and 28-8 on the season. Memphis is also 4-0 in its last four games opposite Houston at the FedEX Forum. The Grizzlies outscored the Rockets by an average of 10.8 points per game in those four wins.

Notable Trends: Memphis is 6-1 straight up but just 1-6 against the spread in its last seven games as a home favorite with a total between 195 and 200 points.
