NFL Football Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts Start Time, Odds

http://cincinnati.com/blogs/bengals/files/2011/09/Taylor.jpg

The NFL Preseason comes to an end for two squads on Thursday night as the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Indianapolis Colts. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 pm EST start time and it will be televised locally in both markets. Currently the odds for the game have the Colts favored by a field goal.

The Colts drafted Stanford QB Andrew Luck with the top overall spot in April's NFL Draft. Luck has done a pretty good job so far in his NFL Preseason debut, even though his team is only 1-2 overall. They blew out the Rams 38-3 in the first game of the year but dropped consecutive games to Pittsburgh and Washington on the road. Maybe there is something to them dropping both games on the road, even though they probably should have beaten the Steelers a few weeks back. They did turn the ball over three times in that game, which certainly didn't help the Colts.

The Bengals seem to have their combination of quarterback and wide receiver figured out. The duo of Andy Dalton and AJ Green have taken the league by storm to date as they are developing into one of the best tandems in the entire league, regardless of age. It's been a fun group to see as they helped get the Cincinnati Bengals back to the playoffs last season, albeit a loss in the opening round.

Cincinnati sports a 2-1 record entering tonight's game having beat the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons. They fell victim to the Green Bay Packers last week 27-13 but will look to bounce back with this game on the road. In order to win in the NFL, great teams are able to win away from their comfort zones. We're not going to call the Bengals a great team yet, but they seem to be taking the right steps and that's good to see.

Tonight's game should see some more action for the first teamers and we like the Bengals if that happens. The Colts will be playing their second game at home and it's probably going to be one where Luck looks to impress. He hasn't been terrible in his first three games and we think he'll continue to be accurate tonight. However, we're going to take the Bengals here tonight as we believe their first teamers are better than Indy's.
