I've been with Bovada (Bodog) for over 5 years, so this in no way is an attempt to bad mouth them. Yes, they bounced me a check one time about a year ago, but since then I've had no problems.....until recently.
I've been a VIP with them, which entitles me to a double deposit once a week, special telephone number to call in with questions/concerns and faster payouts. About a month ago they sent me an email stating my VIP status had been removed and would not give any details. I just assumed it's becuase football season is over and I'm not betting nearly as much as I was back then. I miss the weekly deposit match bonus for playing poker, but oh well.
A week ago, I cashed out $500.00 after a night of playing poker. I never like leaving larger balances in my account after the "black friday" events. Cashing out the five hundred left me with a couple hundred that I had planned on using for making bets on the Masters golf tournament. I made a bet on friday, then got an email from Bovada saying that they "paid me twice" and I needed to make a $500 deposit in my account to bring it current. I quickly logged in and saw that my account had a negative ballance.
I have been able to get payouts credited back to my bank account for about the last 6 months, so I logged into my bank account and found the $500 credit from them...a one time credit of $500. I emailed them back and asked them to adjust my account balance back to where it should be since I did not get paid twice. They replied asking for copies of my bank statements so they could verify it. I let them know that there is no way in hell that I was going to send them copies of my bank records. My bank records are private and none of anyone elses business. And to please correct my account balance. Their reply was I had to send in my bank records and they would be kept confidential.
I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else. If had not been with them for 5+ years I'd be freaking out right now, but I trust these people. But I just can't figure out why they are trying to screw me over on $500. I will not send my bank statements to anyone. Looking to see if anyone has any advice. Otherwise, I guess it's time to find a new online book. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.
