He has never beat Rahm in a money game.
They play together all the time.
Rahm's agent is Tim Mickelson, brother of Phil.
Tim quit his job as ASU Head Golf Coach (his dream job) to be Rahm's agent after Rahm turned pro. Just like Steve Loy quit his job as ASU's Head Golf Coach to be Phil's agent when Phil turned pro.
Phil loves Tuesday money games. He plays his best golf for his own money. He loves to talk smack, he loves to gamble. He loves to find your choke point. He excels at it. Front 9, back 9, this hole, that hole, I can hit it over this tree, you can't get it up and down from there, long drive, closest to the hole, double ups, double downs, presses, air presses, flips, stickies, sandies, skins and anything else you want action on. The man was born to gamble on golf.
He swings harder in money games. He plays MORE aggressively than he even does in tournaments. No pin is safe, no shot is too risky.
He can't beat Rahm.
I'm not exaggerating and I'm chosing my words wisely.
He has never taken a dollar from this kid. This kid who Tim, a guy who knows what it takes to be great as good as anybody in history, QUIT HIS DREAM JOB to work for.
Now the kid is in uncharted territory, coming off his first win and returning to his college home town, so he may be a little overwhelmed, but I'm betting he's more confident than ever. He knows the track and when you put a good putter on a familiar surface with his confidence brimming, you're going to see some putts drop.
All he has to do is beat one guy he has never lost a match to for 72 holes.
RAHM (-135) over Mickelson (+115)
$675 to win $500.
Also fading Tiger with G. Mac (-135) over in Dubai. If you have a bad back, and you hurt your back playing golf, the last thing you should do is sit on a plane for 20 hours and then try to play more golf after banging 17 high end escorts.
G-Mac has always been one of my favorites. He's a great wedge player who's not afraid of anything or anyone.
He's 4 shots better than Tiger right now without the plane ride.
McDowell (-155) over Tiger (+135)
$775 to win $500.
Don't wish me good luck.
No luck needed this week.
