i think the argument is that he sold it as a GOY, lord i got chills just typing those letters, so even with a change in the line was it a matter of his play not being a viable winner or just avoiding selling a stale line? i never do huge headline titles on games, occasionally ill bet heavier on a play or two that i like. but the insinuation in a GOY tag is that the play is as rock solid as it comes and a two point swing should still be within the capped number to win. whether the play lost or not, it comes down to why did he pull it. if it was an honest pull to avoid people buying a pick stating 3 when the line is now 6 then thats fine. if people bought it at a number and played it at that number then win or lose it was on them to make the play.
i hate the goy tags but i realize its a sales technique. maybe it shouldnt have been a game of the year if three points put it out of range of how he had it capped, but it is what it is
