If you are the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota wouldn't budge on their stance in that they need Wiggins in a K Love deal, are you pulling the trigger and making this deal (knowing K Love will sign a max extension with you)?
I see both sides to this argument and I honestly can not make up my mind. We have to remember, K Love is ONLY 25 years old. He is just entering his prime, and is arguably a top 10 player in the NBA right now.
Wiggins on the other hand (cheap rookie contract), has uber potential, which is clear by watching 5 minutes, but he is still very raw offensively. Very good defensively, super athletic, and learning and playing with Lebron to begin his career, this kid could be very special. Could potentially be a top 10 talent in this league (but not for at least 2-3 years)
So if you are the Cavs, do you pull the trigger on K Love deal, let's say Bennet, Wiggins, and a first round pick and whatever else to make the money match up for K Love.
Do you make the deal??
The more I think about it, I feel the Cavs have to make this deal. First I would absolutely exhaust all options to try and make this happen without including Wiggins, but if you are the T Wolves, there's no way in hell I'm making any deal with Cleveland without Wiggins being included. I am very reluctant to give up Wiggins, but you are getting a bona fide star in K Love and by bringing Lebron over, you are automatically built to win NOW. Bringing in K Love probably gives Cleveland their best chance to win a title in the next year or two. Very tough call for me, but I make this deal if I am Cleveland.
What do you guys think?
