Abbreviated write-up
2012 NBA EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYOFFS
Thu May 3, 2012 | 7:10 PM, EDT | TNT
Madison Square Garden | New York, New York
Game 2
2 MIAMI HEAT
7 NEW YORK KNICKS
(Miami Heat Leads Series, 2-0)
Despite finally getting back to the Garden
(Where NY was 21-11)
New York’s list of issues remains burdensome
When we add in some less-publicized predicaments,
The Knicks task is damn near colossal
OBVIOUS:
* Amar’e Stoudamire’s reckless, self-inflicted absentee status for Game 3
* Jeremy Lin’s continued absence
* Baron Davis’ ailing condition
* Miami #30 Ranked Bench production surge
LESS-OBVIOUS:
Perhaps the most under-reported yet profoundly detrimental to Knicks
* NYK Shumpert’s Season-Ending Injury
THUS,
* NY Landry Fields’ in Shumpert’s Starting Spot
* Insufficient Offensive production spot (1-5 FG in 18 Min)
More importantly,
* NYK L Fields lack of lateral quickness Defensively
The result of New York’s already weak depth
Has been to infuse Miami's #1 Ranked Starting 5
w/an abundance of optimal open-court opportunities
Thus, opening up the floodgates; letting Greyhounds off the leash
(Miami's L James & D Wade)
Open Meadows to run, float & thrive
Moreover,
We MUST be perplexed at the Media open question:
‘Why was Amar’e so Pissed?’
REALLY?
Just maybe…Amar’e & New York was beside themselves….
Since they gave a TOP-SHELF effort,
& still didn’t have a reasonable shot at this one
CONSIDERING:
* New York had +7 Rebounds
* New York had more Second Chance Points
* New York got to the Rim +12 more times than Game 1
* New York shot 50% in “Jumpers
* New York shot 72.7% at the Rim
* Including NY +1 in GAME DUNKS
(Even though all we see is Heat Dunk highlights)
Even w/all this, & NY having Defensive Player of the year in paint
New York’s All-Star Frontcourt
Couldn’t help NY’s inept BACKCOURT
From allowing Miami’s 1/2/3’sFrom getting into Paint for +12 More Pts
(Miami: 50 Pts in Paint | NY 38 Pts in Paint)
Miami is on cruise
New York is just utterly outmanned & outgunned
2 UNIT
MIAMI -5 (Sportsbook)
NEW YORK
All the best, guys.
