We all know the NBA has seen some significant increasing in Scoring. I thought it would be interesting to look at how the Opening round Game 1 totals being dealt compare to prior years. Here are the averages (along with the ACTUAL point average in opening Rd Game 1s in Regulation Time (shown in Parenthesis):
2017: 209.5 Average Total, Round 1, Game 1
2016: 203.5 (195.5)
2015: 201.3 (197.3)
2014: 194.9 (194.9)
Amazingly, we are seeing a 15 point adjustment on average from 2014 levels. This sure appears to be a leap of faith given that ACTUAL game 1 non OT scoring in the opening round has actually remained below 200 the past three years. Given all this, i think a strong case can be made to look towards the UNDER in all 8 games this weekend, but certainly some games will have great value, others decent value, and some others arguably no value.
I have released my BIG 3* NBA weekend play already, along with a 2* bonus play.
In MLB I have a big card Friday, with 3 plays, AND a bonus Prop bet on the Grand Salami, which goes at 11:20 PST today!
