Another free winner in a moment. Last week I mentioned great running backs in the NFL. I mentioned Gale Sayers as the best I had personally seen. Well, today the other immortal Bears hall of famer comes into play. Yup, Sweetness, the immortal Walter Payton. Kind of a weird note but here it is, it was on this date back in 1984 that Walter actually played six snaps at quarterback for the Bears in a game. He ran the ball four times and threw a pair of passes. Unfortunately he also tossed a pair of interceptions. Just thought it was kind of funny. NO, I am not taking a shot at Payton. I don't know how any thinking person could ever take a shot at that football gladiator. Just thought it was a fun note from the day in history.
Okay, a free winner. Tonight I am turning to the NBA and suggesting a small wager on the Spurs and Jazz to play under the total. On a side note I feel kind of sick about what is happening with the Jazz. Their new coach, Quin Snyder was a neighbor of mine when he was here in Columbia. Things did not obviously turn out well here and he has been bouncing around some different jobs hanging in there hoping to get another shot. The Jazz game him their head spot on the bench and it's been tough sledding for his club. I sincerely hope he can get it turned around out there. He has some good young talent but does not have much down in the blocks.
Now, on the business side. Dropped a featured release last night on the Double Star with the Packers. Not much I can say about that crazy mess that has not been said. That Green Bay defense should be ashamed of themselves. Packers should have run that bunch out of Lambeau. But, congrats to those on Atlanta. Nice to win those kind out of the blue. As for tonight, I do have a college basketball featured release loaded up. I have yet to lose a college featured release this season to date. I've had four doubles and cashed them all. Going into tonights game I have hit on 10 of my last 11 College hoops releases. I also, just this morning, loaded up my one and only college Bowl game of the year. I will have one, like last year. No more. Last year it was Auburn and they obviously covered easily just missing the outright. I know there will be sites with several but this will be my only one. I know many loathe those games and I do too when they are abused, Anyway, it is loaded. If you hate GOY's, well, that's cool, don't buy it. Oh well, in conclusion the College play is my big one today. The college season is off to a solid start overall. The record is 24-16, +10.4 units.
That will do it for now. Eyesight with the retina tear is still shaky at best and this staring at a computer screen doesn't help the cause, lol. Good luck today guys.
