Fezzik - first off, let me see I've followed you for a couple of years now and I have a lot of respect for your insight and analysis, especially in NFL. That being said, I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty disappointed with how you have approached your WNBA package. It is a bit disingenuous to pass on several weeks of the season and state that it's too hard to keep up with who is playing hard and who is tanking, when that seems like the ideal set of circumstances to identify value in a line that might not be evident to the market. Not to mention the fact that your subscribers of the package pay you precisely to keep up with these things and to cap those games accordingly with your expertise.
What is even more disturbing to me, however, is that you released multiple plays in the playoffs after you KNEW you weren't devoting the appropriate amount of time to cap the games. How are we, as customers, supposed to know that when you release a pick, you are doing so not having done the work up to the high standard you represent when we purchase your picks? It is abundantly clear (as you acknowledged) that you simply shifted your focus to football before the end of the season, and it is patently unfair to your customers that you are posting picks that are the product of less than a full and thorough effort on your part. Tom already accommodated me for the fact that your full-season package was more of a half-season package, but it is even more appalling to me that you, as one of the (or perhaps THE) hallmark pro on Pregame would release a pick that was not made on anything less than a fully informed and researched basis (particularly when you KNEW that was the case and never gave any indication that you hadn't caught back up to speed on WNBA until now). I commend you for finally owning up, acknowledging that you have not had adequate time to devote to WNBA because of football and shutting things down for the season, but you know full well that you never should have released ANY WNBA playoff picks.
I still respect your insight and analysis (although now with a grain of salt), but I think you should keep in mind that real people are betting real dollars based on the picks you release. Overextending yourself is diluting your brand--a couple of years ago I feel like you took a lot of pride in your analysis and disciplined approach, and now, I hate to say it, but I can't help but feel like you're simply in it to maximize your subscription profits.
