Clev is about to get hot...
I hope so. One thing I do know is that regardless of what I do, if we aren't winning then everyone will have an opinion as to what we should be doing. I accept that, and welcome the feedback from most. I can't make everyone happy unless we're winning - which means some people are going to be upset at what we DO and DON'T do. Yes, last year early on I was on Houston a lot, before they got hot. People gave me grief night after night - I backed off, they won.
Today, if I took Washington against Colon and a Freeman-less Braves team at -200 either people would go WTF, -200! - or, they'd win and they'd say well, no sh*t, or, they'd lose (which is entirely possible if Max isn't Max because their bullpen sucks. Or, better yet, not many people need me to tell them Washington is clearly the better team and should win. I think if that want to bet the Nationals in whatever form or fashion, they'll do it anyway.
If I take the Pirates because Nova is pitching well, then people will say "didn't you see the market said the Phillies?" If I took the Phillies some would say "how can you fade the Pirates at home after a loss and against that hideous bullpen?"
If we were winning, one loss is no big deal and people would say nothing. It's just the nature of the beast, and I always respect your opinion. My handicapping might be suffering at the moment, but my memory isn't and I remember our conversations last year all too well.
All I can/will do is keep doing the work and putting it all out there for people do follow it or fade it or pass.
