In this segment Ken Thomson states why he feels the Pac-12 is better than the SEC.
College football and College basketball are specialties of Ken
The defense's will always be tough for the SEC Teams, but this league just has so many quarterbacks that they have to replace. Teams like Auburn has a QB with off the field problems, Vandy has a new coach, Alabama, LSU and Georgia must all replace QBs as well.
Over in the Pac-12 you see a team like UCLA that is loaded with a returning QB and a good coach. Oregon has a great QB in Mariota. Sarkisian taking over at USC boosts that program. USC has a nice young QB and an outstanding defense. Sarkisian also left the Washington program stocked for new HC Chris Petersen.
Arizona State with Kelly back is loaded, Rich Rodriguez is doing good things in Arizona, Washington State is better and Stanford is loaded again. Cal & Colorado are weak links in the Pac-12.
RJ Wants to know that 1-4 in each league, if they played each other (I.E. 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2... ect), who would have the advantage on a neutral field?
Ken feels that the Pac-12 would have the advantage. He will take UCLA and Oregon over anybody from the SEC. UCLA is 1-2 in the PAC-12, but 3-6 are all very even and very good.
In the SEC Alabama is tops and Auburn is right with them, but Georgia always chokes at some point.
At the bottom of the conferences it seems that it makes Pac-12 even stronger. Ken isn't sure that is true as Arkansas and Kentucky may be teams to watch, while Colorado and California are just bad teams.
Auburn coach is a genius according to Ken, mainly because of the playbook.
Ken feels overall that the Pac-12 has the best collection of QB's in the nation by far and that makes this conference very Tough.
