Haha...that is correct, Mr. Mendez....good press for you!
As you know from the previous college football totals show, I love Stanford once again this year after riding them week after week last season. I quickly bet them over 9.5 for the 2011 season which means I see them losing once or twice at most. Even with them getting Oregon at home and perhaps winning that one, I just don't see them being able to go coast to coast undefeated with this group of players and without Jim Harbaugh. Doesn't mean I don't think they're good. It's just that to win the BCS from the Pac 10, you have to go undefeated. That, as you know, is not necessarily the case for SEC teams, for instance. I often reference the east coast bias I believe exists in college football and that, ultimately, is what makes the Cardinal a bad BCS bet for me.
But speaking of teams that need to go undefeated, Boise State is a better BCS futures play for me at 12-1. They get by Georgia this week, they're chalk to go undefeated with many less pitfalls than Stanford in front of them. The Broncos are my BCS futures play.
Thanks so much for listening, Mr. Mendez.
