Time to look at some college football props for the upcoming season.
First prop to look at is Florida State -.5 over Georgia as far as wins. Ken states that Georgia will be strong again with their running game and defense, while FSU does have some question marks, especially at QB. Still FSU may have better depth here and a slightly easier schedule than the Bulldogs.
Alabama is -.5 over USC in season wins. There has been some darkhorse love this year for USC to win the title. Ken would love to take USC in this prop, but they do have a tough 2 game stretch vs Stanford at home and then ASU the nest week. If they win those two games then they have a shot at going into the Oregon game with just 1 loss. Alabama does have question marks, especially at the QB spot and their defense doesn't appear to be as strong as in years past. Ken feels that the Tide is starting to lose ground on the rest of the SEC.
TCU -1.5 over UCLA and Ohio State -1.5 over Baylor and ken doesn't feel that a case can be made for either dog in this prop.
Another prop is Ohio State -.5 over the Seattle Seahawks in terms of season wins. Many feel that Ohio states will be in the final 4, while Seattle does have a couple of road games to open their season (St Louis & Green Bay). Ken feels that the Seahawks could lose both of those games.
Here is one that Scott likes and that is TCU -.5 over Dallas Cowboys. The cowboys do have a rather tough schedule and look at best an 8-8 team, while Stephen thinks they may even go 7-9. TCU will be challenging for the National title while Dallas will struggle. Stephen really likes this play.
It is shocking to both Stephen and Scott that the Cowboys will go from Murray to McFadden in the running game. That may hurt this team the most.
The Big 10 is the favorite at 9/5 to win the national title. The SEC is 2/1, the Pac-12 is 4-1, ACC is 20/1 and teh Big 12 is 11/5.
Ken will stay away from this prop as their just isn't value on the teams outside the Big 10. If he had to he would take the Pac-12, because of USC and Oregon.
