This post is in an effort for us to help each other handicap this game throughout the week. It's hard enough to handicap a game in the first place, but when everyone put their own input in, I believe it does begin to help us develop an edge.
I appreciate you stopping by this post, but if you are going to comment, please don't just write "I like this team", please put an educated reason why you think this is the right side.
My Input:
To me, this is a difficult game, probably one I'll stay away from. Florida has historically owned Tennessee going 9-1 in their last 10 meetings and 4-0 since 2006 (3-1 ATS) in Knoxville. Living in Florida, I've watched Driskel since High School and even though he was highly touted, I've never been overly impressed with him and that's carried over to college. Florida has been able to run the ball at will, averaging 5.2 yards per carry, and if Tennessee has had a weakness on D, it's been against the run, giving up an average of 4.4 yards per carry. If the Gators can let Matt Jones do his thing, and not let Driskel give the game away, I think they can pull out an extremely close game. I will say one thing, this is a very good, very young Tennessee team that if they don't pull an upset here, they will be pulling an upset very soon. I think Florida can run the ball in this game and I would lean to the Gators, but would love to hear everyone else's input.
