I totally loved the semifinals. I think we all learned a lot about the Zags and North Carolina in those games. What's unique about the final game is the finals matchups is unlike the competition in the semi finals. I can't believe that Oregon kept the game as close as they did considering the size and dominance of the Tar Heels in the paint.
That's all going to change Monday night. Gonzaga has much more talent in the box than UNC and the Zags are so proficient at an inside out game. In addition it's my opinion the Zags have better shooters from the arc. I expect both teams to be very efficient in their particular style of play. The Zags play fast and if you see them slow it down that means trouble.
On the other side, were it not for some good runs, the Tarheels should have lost to the Ducks. But that was yesterday and Monday is a new animal and we'll see early on how the Big moment affects each team. Karnoski and Collins will be the pivotal pieces for Gonzaga. If these guys get it going the Zags will win. If not, UNC will have a great chance to win.
I don't expect a sloppy game so I'm taking the over. Both teams will test the limits of their opponent and hopefully the refs will let them play. That's all we can hope for.
I also like the Zags to win. I think the Tarheels have the weight of tradition to carry whereas the Zags have nothing to lose.
Just my opinion
As always, do your own work and best of luck to all of you.
