Analysis: As much as it pains me after the Duke game, I have short term memory loss. That can be a good thing in many respects. Louisville's PG, Chris Jones is out (suspended yesterday), and the 'Ville hasn't played in the Carrier Dome in some time. Maybe the 'Cuse remember getting beaten in the Big East Championship game by Louisville in 2013, at least the ones that are left. Certainly Jim does. Let's look at L'ville's schedule. The best team they've beaten is/was North Carolina, and of course that was at home (in overtime). Simply put, they haven't really dominated anyone, and lost outright to most of the better teams they've played. They tend to beat the soft/fluid/up-tempo teams that they can disrupt. Obviously everyone watched the Syracuse-Duke game and saw how the 'Cuse simply crumbled, hence they're dogs at home, which doesn't happen often, even in a down year. That was Duke. This is not. I have said countless times the way to beat that zone is to shoot over it (hence that's the type of team that will give Kentucky trouble, if anyone does) and that's just not Louisville. In fact, L'ville is one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the nation, and they don't take that many, either. Obviously add to the mix the fact that Chris Jones, their starting point guard and a Senior, is out. Although people will point to Syracuse not playing in the post season as a reason to fade them for lack of effort, if it were a marginal coach I might give that some credibility. But, Boeheim won't keep players on the court he thinks aren't giving it their all. They're (Syracuse) still 7-5 in the ACC, bigger than Louisville (who likes to play inside), and without Chris Jones that probably forces Rozier to play point and moves Quentin Snyder up to shooting guard. He's a Freshman who's not used to large minutes, and never seen the zone, and of course that puts that much more pressure on Blackshear. If L'ville is going to win this game, both he (Blackshear) and Rozier are going to have to have monster nights, and mostly from the outside. (IMO of course). I don't see it, but there's lots of things I don't see sometimes.
